Vocalist Sarah Morrau shares her love of a wide range of musical styles - from jazz to pop to folk - on her debut CD. She writes on the liner notes, "The recording of this CD has been an intense, all-consuming, emotional process. Throughout the process I have found affirmation and support for a dream I've had for a long time. Many of the songs I've chosen are to me about loss, pain and relationships. To find these themes in music by a wide range of artists, spanning five decades, confirms for me that these are universal themes that everyone experiences-relationships and loss. My hope is that people might enjoy the songs, but also that people might be moved by them. I believe so strongly in the power of music to heal, to soothe and to evoke emotion."
