Located in Fargo, North Dakota, USA, Raptor Studios is a 24-track digital facility specializing in full-service recording services for regional artists of all musical genres. Founded in 1995, Raptor Studios has recorded more than 100 CD projects for artists throughout the Upper Midwest. Under the expertise of producer/engineer Mike Coates, artists from rock, blues and country to classical, folk and jazz have released successful and musically outstanding projects. Co-owners Mike and Linda Coates remain committed to their original vision of a recording facility that offers top-quality production values to regional musicians at affordable prices.

A poem dedicated to Raptor Studios!
Mary Pryor, a wonderful poet who was my freshman English teacher at Minnesota State University Moorhead (it was actually known as Moorhead State College when I started, so there's a clue) is now retired but as active as ever, getting everywhere in Fargo-Moorhead on foot or on her bicycle, publishing poetry online on such sites as Poets Against The War, and attending arts events throughout the area. She was inspired by a newspaper account of our experience cutting a hole in our living room floor, installing a scaffolding up to our beamed ceiling, and lowering a grand piano into the studio.
